Trail Assessment & Maintenance Workshop – Led by GMC for Trail Managers
Join Lorne Currier, Green Mountain Club Volunteer & Education Coordinator, for a hands-on workshop focused on hiking trail assessment and maintenance. Participants will learn practical skills in tread and corridor maintenance, sustainable trail design, drainage, trail structures, blazing and signage, tool use, volunteer management, and user stewardship.
Open to professional and volunteer trail managers from Central Vermont and beyond, this workshop is a great opportunity to build technical trail skills while connecting with fellow trail stewards. With more than 500 miles of trails maintained by over 800 volunteers, the Green Mountain Club brings decades of expertise to this interactive field training.

Location: Exact location TBD – somewhere between App Gap and Johnson. We’ll let you know by the end of September.
What to Wear: Long pants, shirt, durable boots for working on trail, gloves, rain gear, layers
What to Bring: Water, snacks, food, pack. Some treats will be provided.
