Improving the Outdoor Recreation Experience for All

Vermont is home to numerous providers who support people with disabilities so that they may get outside and explore Vermont in any season. Some focus on specific regions of the state or certain sports, while others are statewide or focus on a particular disability.  Isabelle Riecken, a Senior Doctoral OT student at UVM, developed a website as her capstone project, Adaptive Sports & Recreation Network of Vermont, that describes adaptive sports and recreation. The site is updated with current events, and identifies all of the organizations and people that provide programming support and services.
