Vermont University and Northwoods Stewardship Center have teamed up to answer the call for an ever growing need for trail builders. This fall, 11 people are learning the principles and practices of sustainable trail construction and maintenance through the Sustainable Trail Building One-Year Certificate program at Vermont State University. The hands-on curriculum aligns with the Core Trail Skill Competencies championed by American Trails and the Professional TrailBuilder Association. Partners at Northwoods Stewardship Center provide a top-notch location and resources for train-building education. Applications for the 2024 program will be opening soon!
