SUMMARY:2026 Municipal Day - Map\, Maps\, Maps!
DESCRIPTION:The annual training event brings municipal officials and volunteers together with state staff for a day of training\, discussion\, and information sharing. This year’s sessions will explore why maps matter\, what it means when land or resources are mapped\, how to interpret and use state mapping resources\, and how to create clear and effective maps. \nPaige Bochu\, Director of the University of Vermont Spatial Analysis Lab\, will open the day with a plenary presentation on how spatial analysis can support local decision-making. Sessions throughout the day will provide practical information\, tools\, and resources that municipalities can apply in their communities. \nANR Municipal Day is hosted by the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources in partnership with the Agency of Agriculture\, Food and Markets\, Agency of Commerce and Community Development\, Agency of Transportation\, Vermont Emergency Management\, Land Use Review Board\, and other state partners. \nMunicipal officials and staff\, regional planners\, conservation commission members\, and others who work with Vermont communities are invited to attend. \nThe event costs $40 per person and includes breakfast and lunch.
