This webinar goes beyond materials and layering to explore how design, construction, and real-time field decisions shape long-term durability.
This aggregates 2.0 webinar is a follow up to the Fundamentals of Aggregate Surface Trails webinar held on December 5, 2024.
Level up from basic installation to high-performance results. This session goes beyond materials and layering to explore how design, construction, and real-time field decisions shape long-term durability. Participants will learn how to optimize gradation and matrix selection for varying site conditions, stabilize subgrades with geotextiles, and achieve proper compaction through the right balance of moisture, lift thickness, and equipment. The session also covers planning a drainage-first construction sequence to minimize failures, troubleshooting common issues like rutting and washouts, and adapting methods for accessibility, remote locations, and changing seasonal conditions. Designed for practitioners who already understand the basics and are ready to deliver durable, consistent, and professional-quality aggregate trail surfaces.
